Our Story
Born in the wild. Forged in silver.
What began as a gift of love between Patrick and Catja became the story of a family, their heritage and Africa’s definitive luxury house. Born in Zimbabwe and shaped by its wild landscapes, the Mavros family has spent decades reimagining the magic of the wilderness into works of art, brought to life by hand and shaped by an enduring spirit of creativity. Every piece carries its own story - a fragment of Africa, a chapter of Mavros history, and an invitation to become part of a legacy that lives on.
Our Legacy
Born from a profound reverence for Africa’s wild places, Patrick Mavros transforms nature’s fleeting moments into enduring works of art. Each creation begins with observation, research and an uncompromising devotion to detail, capturing the spirit of wildlife in precious metal. Crafted by hand using the ancient lost-wax method, every piece embodies patience, artistry and meaning. More than a luxury house, Patrick Mavros celebrates Africa’s creativity, craftsmanship, conservation and culture - bringing the soul of the continent to the world, beautifully, boldly and forever.

There is a particular rhythm to life at home: children growing up among trees, gardens and wildlife, long lunches in the open air, and generations gathered together. These unguarded moments are the life behind the work - the landscapes, laughter and rituals passed from one generation to the next. Surrounded by nature and the animals that share it with them, The Mavros family’s enduring eye for beauty is reflected in their belief that the extraordinary has always lived within the everyday.
Our Heritage
Creativity begins with being invited into the story. For the Mavros family, it began in the workshop - watching, drawing and transforming simple rocks and sticks into heartfelt gifts for Mum. These childhood creations became memories, stories and a shared language of imagination, shaping a family and, ultimately, a life. This is the magic of involvement: when young minds are free to explore and create, curiosity becomes something lasting - rooted in wonder, connection and the joy of making together.
Our Core Pillars

Family
For generations, the Mavros family has worked side by side, passing down more than craftsmanship: a way of seeing, making and living. Each generation adds its own imagination to the story, while time-honoured skills, shared values and a deep love of Africa are woven into a living legacy.

Conservation
The Mavros family’s love of Africa’s wildlife inspires a deeper responsibility to protect the creatures, landscapes and ecosystems that shape their story. Through craftsmanship, conservation partnerships and purposeful collections, the luxury house helps safeguard these remarkable worlds, so their beauty can be cherished and passed on for generations.

Craftsmanship
Every Mavros piece is shaped by hand, from the first sketch to the final polish. Ancient lost-wax casting meets the instinct of skilled artisans, with every ridge, texture and detail carefully considered. Time is given freely to each creation, allowing its character to emerge and a timeless piece of art to take shape.
